Jo's fall decorations

Jo arranged these cute fall decorations on the front porch for us. The pumpkins are from our own garden. We are making the cute pumpkin wall hanging for our next sisters craft night!

Sassy having fun with her friends

Friday night Sassy had her friends over for a little fun. This is what happens when you give teenagers a camera and a trampoline. They all babysat for us, then Jo made pizza for everyone and they took the kids on a walk. What great kids, they are so fun to have around :)

I am married to the hottest banker in the valley!

This is the new ad that Mike's bank is running here. Guaranteed to get him lots of calls from little old ladies who just seem to love my husband. Mike is definitely the best looking banker in Cache Valley and I am one lucky woman!

The adventures of Mike and Jen at Inspiration Point...

This is at the Basin, we still had a while more to go

At the top you can see from Ogden to Brigham to Logan! It was truly amazing.
We arrived at the top right at sunset, and yes the kids called at the exact same time!

Yes, you have to look this cool to ride on the four wheelers

Eric and Melissa were our guides for the evening
Friday night we went four wheeling up to Inspiration Point with my brother and his wife. Grandpa and Grandma followed with my nephew in the Jeep. It was about 12 miles up, through the beautiful mountains. The leaves were changing color, and the pine trees were gorgeous. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the top, and we arrived right at sunset. We had a great dinner up there, admired the view, and got a call from the kids! Then we put on our coats (it was freezing up there) and four wheeled down in the dark. We finished the evening at Peach City drive in for ice cream. We had a great time and can't wait to go again.

Uncle Mike's 21st Birthday!

Sept. 19th is baby brother's 21st birthday! We had a party at our house, complete with Chicken Alfredo dinner (thanks Heidi for the recipe) and Funfetti birthday cake, his favorite. We finished off the night with an air hockey tournament, which the lucky birthday boy won!

Looks like Gramps found another excuse to use the heavy equipment!

This is how we kept Apple Dumplin busy while Grandpa was working
Grandpa is renovating this little shed from the cabin into a playhouse for the kids. The dilemma? How to move the playhouse onto a new foundation out in the fruit trees. So Grandpa hauled out the tractor(his dream vehicle) and rigged up the shed to move it, while we all watched and waited to see if something disastrous would happen! It worked great, and now Grandpa can begin the "Extreme Playhome Makeover".

Look what Jo caught at Trout and Berry Days! And look what she made in school!

This is the cute hat Jo made in her Home Ec class! It turned out great!
The day we moved in was Trout and Berry Days here, and the kids just love this little weekend fair. Every year they make a 1 foot deep pool out of hay bales lined with tarps, and fill it with fish. Then they let all the little kids jump in and try to catch a fish with their bare hands! Jo was brave enough to try this year and with a little help from a friend caught this nice big rainbow trout!

Jo before her 11 year old Stake Activity Day

Jo loved being old enough to go to the 11 year old Stake Activity Day on Saturday. They talked about talents and how to develop them, strengthening your testimonies and they had a nice little luncheon too. Jo loved it and at the end the stake president had a rose to give each girl.

Apple Dumplin is loving eating real food!

Apple has had digestive problems since birth, and so she has been living only on lactose free formula and baby squash. Two weeks ago we started giving her other solid foods, and she loves everything we give her! Here she is enjoying rice and taco meat with her daddy. She couldn't get it in fast enough and finally just dove right into the plate!
