Apple

Today as we were leaving the grocery store, I let Apple walk in her little pink boots to the car. I put her in her car seat and off we went to get Sunshine from preschool. I heard her talking to herself and she said, "Taste good? Yeah, it do." When I looked in the backseat, she was licking the sole of her boot! I tried to convince her that it was really yucky, but no luck!

More Ski Night

We weren't sure how Sunshine and Courtney would do and they had a ton of fun, and were actually really good! No one got hurt and they were skiing by themselves down the bunny hill at the end of the night. Sunshine wouldn't let anyone go down the hill with her, and she would go as fast as she could and stop perfectly at the bottom! They all loved the Magic Carpet, which is the little conveyor belt that they rode back to the top of the hill, especially Apple, she rode it over and over with Daddy! Next year we decided that the big girls can stay in the lodge with Apple (because they didn't like skiing) and Mike and I will ski with the little girls!

Ward Ski Night!

This was our second year to go to ward ski night, and we had a great time, although it took us all day to gather all the hats, gloves, and snow gear for 7 people! We even let Sunshine and Courtney take ski lessons, and they did awesome and had the best time! Sassy got to go with two of her friends, the boy in the green jacket is who she asked to the dance. It was Sassy's first time skiing and riding the lift, and she didn't enjoy it so much. But she loved chillin' in the lodge and having fun with her friends :) Nikki and Sandra came and took lessons too, and helped out with the little girls so much, thanks guys!

He said ....

Sassy asked her friend to the Sweethearts Dance (girls choice) next month with this awesome photo of her and 4 manila envelopes. She kind of used the Visa credit card commercial idea with a nerd twist. The first envelope had ugly suspenders-$1 from DI, the second one had 1980's eyeglasses-$3 from DI, and the third one had a pair of knee high tube socks- $4 from DI. The last envelope had this nerdy pic of her and a card saying "Taking this red hot babe to the dance-priceless!"and this is how he answered her, " If you are "forkin" out the "dough", I'd love to go!" It had a plate with baked cookies surrounding a tub of cookie dough with a ton of plastic forks in it!

Jo playing dress up

Sassy borrowed this dress from her friend for the Sweethearts Dance next month, and we all just oohed and ahhed over it and Jo got to try it on! Sassy is going to wear it with a black jacket and gold strappy heels, and all of us girls were so excited. Any girl who comes to the house has to be taken downstairs to see it in person!

Sewing Projects

Last weekend Melissa, my mom and I made these car seat covers for the triplets and our other nephew (none of whom are born yet!) They were super easy, only took about 45 min each and we can't wait to have the babies to put under them!

Christmas Projects

This is what Sassy came up with for Christmas presents for her friends, and it turned out really cute! Nikki got a Cricut machine for Christmas so she cut out the vinyl lettering for us and Sassy did the rest!

Cross Country Skiing

Grandpa took Courtney and Sunshine outside the cabin for a little cross country skiing, which none of us have ever done before. They enjoyed it so much, Sunshine only fell down twice, she is a natural even though she is only 5! Courtney takes after her mother a little more and spent most of her time down in the snow, but she was happy about it and didn't complain and the next day she did much better. Wyatt was so cute, he sat at the window the whole time the girls were outside and watched them, waiting for his turn. He and Emma are best buds and love to do everything together. They can't wait to try out real skiing at our ward ski party this month!

A little sledding fun...

Last year when we went sledding on New Year's Eve it was in 0 degree temps, with gusting winds and 3 foot snow up a huge mountain. Not very fun! This year we had 10 degree temps, no wind, and sunshine! We just went down the road from the cabin and had a great time! It was only 5 min from the cabin so it was perfect for sledding with all the little ones. Melissa stayed in the truck with Jo and filmed and took pics, since she is almost 6 months pregnant with triplets. Sunshine started out trying to ride the ever so slow motorcycle/sled hybrid, but soon deserted it for going down head first on her own much faster sled! We did sled trains this year, where we all held onto each other's sleds in a row and they were super fun, too. I won the fastest sledder award, and every one who wanted to go fast lined up to go with me in the front of their sled(I think it had something to do with the weight being in the front :)

Celebrating New Year's at the Cabin

This year we got to go to grandpa's cabin again to celebrate the New Year. It is nice and peaceful because there is no cell phone reception and no telephone or tv. This year Nikki, Eric, Melissa, Wyatt, our family, and Gma and Gpa all went. Eric brought his projector that we hooked up to the Wii to play our favorite family game, Just Dance. That is Sunshine and Wyatt in the bottom picture dancing their little hearts out. Grandpa is still undefeated as the "Jing Go Lo Ba" song champion dancer. Eric and Grandpa took the little ones out in the snow and that is them on the little bridge in front of the cabin. I even braved 5 degree temps in my new USU gear for a little snow fun!
