Sassy and Jo go to Florida!

My dad and his basketball team got to play in the senior olympics for basketball in florida, and he got tickets for Sassy and Jo to go with him! It was kind of crazy on the flight there, it was delayed and then they had to spend the night in Dallas, but they finally got there! They were there for a week and got to go to the beach, sea world, miami zoo and of course Gramps games! At the zoo they even rode Humpy the Camel! They were a big help with the triplets and were great for their gma and gpa. These are some of the fun pics from their trip.
Gramps team lost but he got 2nd place in the 3 point shoot out! We are so proud of him!

Wellsville Mile

This is an annual event where the 4th and 5th graders all run a mile. They break it up into different heats, and luckily Courtney was in the first heat. This is a HUGE deal in our valley, I had no idea how huge until I got to the race and had to park 3 blocks away to watch her run! There were entire families there to cheer on their children! They did an excellent job putting it on, they had the high school track kids run with the children, and they all got a big drink of juice at the end. Courtney finished in 10 minutes 41 seconds. The first pic is her in a hurry to get to the starting line with her friend Morgan, and the second one is after she was done.

Mothers Day

It was so nice to have my mother in law here for Mothers day this year too. I got a cuisinart 4 slice belgian waffle maker so Mike and the girls made us breakfast with it! Acapple and Sunshine picked us lilacs from the yard, and we went to church. Then we had my mom and family over for dinner and dessert, I made my m-i-l the cheesecake she requested, and we took her to the chiropractor the next day for her present!

Cortney turns 10!

e
While her two big sisters were in Florida with my family, Courtney turnd 10! She got new clothes and a crayola light globe and a dippin dots maker! I made her favorite homemade cheesecake. We are so happy to have her in our family, she is always happy to help when we ask her, and is like a mini farmer with all the animals she helps her dad with! She is also smart and a good friend!

Pretty Princess

Everything is just funner if you do it in a princess dress! Aunt Melissa bought this for Apple one day while she was babysitting her, and Apple just loves it. She wears it everywhere, just while we are doing our errands and etc, and gets so much attention, she loves it!

Grandma

Grandma Sylvia came to visit and help us out for a few weeks, which we loved! She is rocking JR here, and she ws the biggest help managing all of our chaos!

Birthdays!

Before the family left for Florida, minus Mike and I and our 4 littlest children, we had a family birthday party for Grandma, Erin, Courtney and Melissa. They all have birthdays in a 2 week time period. Nikki made a fabulous Italian Cream Cake and I made a nasty chocolate cake with greek yogurt which was supposed to be delicious!
Apple and her cousin played outside for a while during the party, and when I looked out to check on them, this is what I saw. Then they came in and announced it was time for the egg hunt. What??? So I went outside and she and her cousin had gotten 19 eggs from the chicken coop and hidden them under piles of grass in the yard! We had to watch where we stepped until we found all of them!

Recreation

One day as I was doing the dishes I looked out the window to see Jo, Sunshine, Apple and their neighborhood friends working on this. I guess they decided it would be fun to have a zipline in our back yard, so using the dog tye out and a leash, they fashioned their own! After some improvements by dad it was improved enough to be somewhat fun and safe :)

Gold and Green Ball

Every year our ward has a special program we do for the graduating seniors, and the little kids look forward to it every year because they have the funnest family dance with it! This is the kids and our neighbor before the dance. This was the first year we didnt get to have it in our old church, it is 130 years old and they are tearing it down, but Jo took this picture of it on Easter while it was still up.

Sunshine's award

Sunshine got this award for academic excellence at a special assembly for the school. She has worked hard all year and was so excited to get this award from Kindergarten!

My Birthday

For my birthday Jo made me these awesome Andes Mint Cupcakes from the blog, Your cup of cake. They were too die for!

Snow Day

We had a late snowfall and Mike and the neighborhood kids made this cool snowboarder snowman!

Sibling Love

Sunshine came home from church one day with this cute necklace on which they were supposed to write how they knew Heavenly Father loved them. It was so sweet what she had written that I took a picture, it says, "He gav me a baby bruther, I lov him!"

Sassy's Junior Prom

Sassy had her Junior Prom last month, and had so much fun! She went with Kade, a friend of hers. Her beautiful dress was a group effort, and Uncle Eric and Aunt Melissa, Sassy, and Mom and Dad all contributed! They reenacted the hunger games with nerf guns for their day date, then ate dinner at someones house from their group they went with. Kade picked her up in his dad's Porsche, and Sassy's had a full petticoat and took up most of the tiny car! We laughed about her trying to get into the car with her dress!

Mike's "new" old toy!

Mike has wanted a camper forever, and found this one in really good condition for only $850! It is so much nicer to go camping with babies and little kids when you have a bathroom and a heater! It sleeps 7 comfortably and has a sink and stove too! This is our first outing to try it out. Mike even figured out how to dump the tank without repeating the scene in RV where Robin Williams get nasty poop water everywhere!

Soccer

This is Courtney's first year to play soccer, she has been begging us forever! Mike is coaching her team which has 16 girls! They have had a lot of fun, and are undefeated. All the parents have asked Mike to coach again next year, because he has been so patient and fun with the girls. He is hoarse after every game from cheering for the girls!

Puppies!

Our English Cream Retriever had puppies and the kids have been in heaven! She had 5, but 2 died. I can't imagine how crazy it would have been if she had more puppies!
