A day at the beach

We also had some fun in the sun at our local dam. The little ones played in the kiddy pool, the older ones played "Capture the Flag" with the dads. Jennece was a trooper, being pregnant and out in the sun!

A trip to Willow Park

What do you do when you have 12 kids to entertain? We all went to Willow Park, and the kids ran, played and ate a 3 foot pizza! Then we went to the little zoo next door and fed, and chased the peacocks, fed the fish and basically tired out the kids!

A fun summer visit

Okay I am really behind on blogging but there has been a ton going on this summer, between guests, all the kids home, and two of my aunts passing away. So the blog won't be totally up to date for a while :) In July our good friends from Idaho came to visit and we always have a good time when they come! These are the pics from a water fight organized by the kids, and mostly dominated by the dad's! Everyone had a good time however, especially the moms' who didn't have to get wet!

My wonderful sister in law Erin took these beautiful pics of Courtney for her baptism. Courtney loved spending time with her and the pics turned out so awesome!

The Opera!!!!

Ever since Mike and I were first married we have loved Opera, thanks to my good friend John who sang in the Ft Worth Opera and gave us tickets to go see him perform. This year Mike's work had the funnest benefit dinner, silent auction and Opera party and we got to go! My mom came with us too because we had an extra ticket, which made it really nice. We started with a wonderful dinner, and everything decorated like 1950's Havana (which was the setting of the show,) speech by Michael Ballam about the background of the Opera and the writer/composer of Guys and Dolls(which is the show we were seeing), and then we went to see the actual show. It was so great! We all loved it and D. Todd Christofferson, who is one of the 12 Apostles in our church, sat 2 rows in front of us. Awesome evening!

Mike's family

Jenny's family

Courtney's baptism was the real reason everybody came up, and it was the best to have all the family here. Every one was helpful and we had a great time playing together and being together for the baptism. Courtney wore a beautiful blue and red lei from her uncle Shayne's family in Hawaii.

Jo

While we had all the family here, Jo was a big help and loved her little cousin Indigo, who she is holding. She also loved getting to hang out with her cousin Cheyenne, and they were excellent chefs for the family! They made delicious cookies for hot cookie sundaes for us, and also made and decorated yummy cupcakes for Courtney's baptism.
