Fun with Family!

We went to the zoo, ate dinner at the Lion House (the pics with the Christmas tree), saw the lights on Temple Square, and went to the Grand America Hotel for their gingerbread village opening. It was a great time, and we want to go again next year! Chase loved most of our toys, but this one was his favorite!

Thanksgiving Fun!

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year for both of our families! We did the turkey and gravy and stuffing, and everybody else brought a side dish. Nikki brought her roomate Sandra and her friend Gladys, Mike's mom came from Virginia and Raquel, Brendan, and Chase came from Chicago. We had a great dinner, played Ninja Destructo and Pig afterwards, and had a great time!

I don't know why but the party got started out in the hall! We squeezed into the family room for present opening eventually! Some of the things that Apple is doing: walking all the time now, holding up one finger when you ask her how old she is, only taking a bottle from momma(very inconvenient), dancing, loves to do This Little Piggy and Along comes Mr. Crocodile, give loves(hugs), blow kisses, loves to read books, loves baby dolls, says ruff ruff when you ask her what a dog says and loves stuffed animals. We love having her around!

Apple Turns One!!

We celebrated Apple's Birthday on Tuesday, the same day Brendan and Kelly and Chase got here to visit, so we really had a party! Mike's mom was visiting from Virginia too, and we had such a great time. We made cupcakes for her birthday(with frosting that was lactose-free), opened presents, and played Wii Fit Plus(which is our new favorite game!) Apple got shoes, a kitty, a play table, a new outfit, and a new dress.

New Moon was Awesome!!!!

We went to New Moon last Saturday with my brother and his wife and it was so great! We had the best time and loved the movie!

Sunshine loses a tooth!

Sunshine woke up in the night crying that her tooth hurt her, and in the morning we could see a little blister on her gum under the tooth. So we took her into the pediatric dentist (with her crying the entire way because she didn't want to go)and sure enough, her tooth had abcessed. So he recommended taking it out or the infection would just keep coming back. Luckily he had laughing gas and a Dora movie for Sunshine to watch, and several shots later it just popped right out! Sunshine was a trooper, and is so excited for the tooth fairy to come!

Old friends come for a visit!

One of our old friends from Texas came up with his two boys to visit us this weekend. Mike and the boys had fun 4 wheeling, shooting, fishing, going to the river, and playing air hockey. This is just like the good old days when Mike and Jeff used to have heated chess games (or just one!) for hours. Hope they come up again soon!

These are some more pics from Mike's birthday party. Eric and Nikki hammed it up for the camera, and Jeff put together the little scooter that he and Erin bought for Apple. She loved it, and even let Jeffy hold her for the first time without crying. Although as you can see in picture she is still not so sure about him!

Mike's Big Birthday Bash!

We celebrated Mike's birthday on Sunday, along with Grandpa and Jeffy who also have November birthdays. We had a great big party with Grandma Leah and Grandpa Hap, Aunt Winnie, Aunt Mary, Aunt Jalaine and Uncle O'Dell, and Amy and Addie. Also all the brothers and sisters and their spouses or roomates, so it was great! I made Mike Sweet Pork for dinner, and then his favorite Strawberry Coconut Pecan Cake for dessert, both from his request. We got him 2 new dress shirts, a sweat band, 3 packages of socks, and 5 ties. He also got a new camera, a gift certificate to Chili's and Rush Hour 1 and 2 from the rest of the family. Courtney gave each of the birthday boys a coupon for 5,999,321 massages, good until you die. They were a big hit!
Some of my favorite things about the birthday boy are his good looks (woo-hoo), his unconditional love, his hard work to always provide for our family, the ability he has to see others for who they truly are, and his wonderful testimony. I am so lucky to have such a great guy for a husband. Love you Sweetheart!
