Monkey Baby

Apple has mastered vertical heights this week! I guess because we have never had boys, we never had any climbers until Apple came along. She has been giving me multiple heart attacks every day with her climbing abilities. When I saw her on top of the piano, I just about fainted! And the little stinker just smiled and said "Cheese" when I caught her! She will use anything as a stool to help her get on top of things and is so strong that she can pull her whole weight up with just her arms! I took pics to show Sassy to be careful when she is babysitting, she has to be watched every minute!

Jo's reward

Jo has been taking piano for about 6 months now and is really doing well. She earned this trophy for mastering 100 lines of music and we are so proud of her! She doesn't even complain about practicing :)

Little Bunny FooFoo

Apple loves to bop the field mice on their heads! It was so cute to see Sunshine singing Little Bunny FooFoo for her baby sister and letting her bop the mice on the head!

A Birthday Breakfast for Grandma

Today is my mom's birthday, so I thought it would be fun to have her and Grandpa over for breakfast. I let the kids stay home and just took them to school late, and everybody had a great time. We put out place cards and served Uncle Derek's whole wheat waffles with fresh strawberries, scrambled eggs, and bacon with our best teacups that we never get to use(as Jo told Grandma) We also made her a big card and let all the kids sign it. We woke up Apple to come to breakfast, that is why she has such an ornery little face on. It took her about 15 minutes to crack a smile :)

Just for fun

This is Mike's favorite picture of himself so I had to put this in!

More Dancing

Sassy had a dance competition that was an hour and a half away this weekend and Mike took her to it. Or she took him, since she drove the whole way! They did excellent at the competition, Sassy's class got Superior (their highest rating) on both Lyrical and Jazz. Plus her dance school won best overall for the whole competition!

Apple's Easter dress

I know this is a little late but I still had to post it because it is her daddy's favorite!

Twisting the night away

Last weekend our church had their annual Gold and Green Ball to spotlight the graduating seniors. It is a big family affair, lavishly decorated and everybody has fun. My family had the most fun, in fact it was hard to get any pictures because they were always dancing! We stayed until 11pm! and the next morning all the girls and dad woke up saying what a great time they had :)

Girls Night Out!

Winding up the dance season is very busy, and so this week Mike took Jo to piano while I took Sassy to her dance performance. Courtney came with me and we loved seeing Sassy perform to "Boots and Boys"! Afterwards we went to Pier 49 pizza to use a coupon Courtney had earned at school and we treated Sassy to pizza too. We finished up with double scoop ice cream cones, and came home happy!

A fun weekend last week!

Last weekend was busy! After our Sat. morning cleaning, I took Jo to look at swimsuits, and we found one for her and for Sassy. As soon as we got home, Mike and Sassy went to volunteer collecting supplies for one of the women and children's centers here and were gone all afternoon. When they got home Sassy and her friends went riding 4 wheelers just for fun, don't they look cute in their helmets! And then Sassy watched the kids while we went on our date. That is Apple's ornery face and Sunshine riding a bike for the first time! While on our date, Mike bought me this beautiful picture that we have been wanting for a long time, it was about $300 dollars off! And he took me out to eat at the Olive Garden, which is my favorite!

The best time!

The kids were nervous to meet their cousins since they hadn't seen them for so long, but they just enjoyed themselves so much they didn't want to leave! Jo got to sleep overnight with her cousin who was so kind to her and she had so much in common with, and Courtney and Sunshine were little shadows to Jax. He was so good and patient with them, and they just adored him! Mike's sister and her husband really spoiled us, homemade bagels and waffles for breakfast along with tons of other fabulous food and helping us get around town and just making us feel really welcome. We wore out poor Apple though, and she actually did so great in the car that we were all surprised.

The blessing

This is our newest little nephew, who we all just fell in love with(except Apple who felt the need to whack him whenever she was close!) He is sweet tempered and so chubby, giving us lots of smiles and snuggles. You can tell he has a proud big brother and sister! Mike was so happy to be there and participate in the blessing, and loved getting to see his sister, too.

Windy in Nevada!

After our trip to Zion's we headed down to Nevada for our newest nephew's blessing. The kids thought the wind was crazy, and we did, too! It was the biggest wind we had ever been in! The top picture is Apple having a meltdown in our hotel room after the blessing, she had such a long week!

Court of the Patriarchs

We finished up our trip to Zion's with a short walk to the Court of the Patriarch's. A minister visiting the canyon in the 1800's named the 3 peaks after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The Lower Emerald Pool

The second day we hiked to the Lower Emerald Pool, which is only about 1.2 m round trip, but you really can't take a stroller on so it was a little hard to convince Sunshine to walk the whole way. Luckily we put Gpa in charge of that! And Jo carried the heavy backpack with water bottles and snacks and jackets the whole way.
