Enjoying the fall

The weather has been beautiful lately! The little girls and I had some fun outside the other day while the big girls were in school. We love an Indian Summer!

Meet Toky!!

Toky is the newest addition in our family! Our black lab who was 13 years old passed away this summer, and after a few months we were lucky enough to get this little yorkie poo from our neighbors. He is one year old and fully potty trained (yea!), and has adjusted to life at our house remarkably well. The only problem is when he barks in the middle of the night because the ducks or geese are on our lawn! Mike still hasn't gotten used to having a little indoor dog instead of a big outdoor one, but I know Toky will grow on him because he is such a sweetie :)

New Additions

At the beginning of September Jeff and Erin and Eric and Melissa all came over to our house with mom and dad and Nikki to tell us some big news! Erin and Melissa are both pregnant and are due both due in April!!! We were so excited, they have both been trying for a long time and it is so neat for them to be pregnant together! The other big part of that announcement is that Melissa is having triplets!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a fun and crazy year in 2011 :)

Jo turned 12!!

Jo turned 12 in August, and is finally in Young Womens! She couldn't wait to go. We celebrated with a family party which she made this yummy cookies and cream cake, and a friends party. The girls only get friend parties when they turn 5, 8, 12, and 16 so they are a big deal. They watched movies, played "Just Dance" on the Wii, jumped on the tramp, and ate pizza. Of course they were very quiet and reserved during the party, NOT!!! We are so happy to have Jo in our family and for the talents and love she brings to our home.

A girls weekend

We had a fun weekend August 20, with my mom's relatives coming up from Eureka, Provo, and Salt Lake to have a fun weekend at the cabin. We had dinner at Olive Garden, then went to the cabin to look at old family pics which was fun because we hadn't seen any of the pics! Us young people got tired and went to bed while the oldies stayed up and talked! In the morning we had a nice breakfast and then all of us younger girls went home and the older ladies (including Aunt Donna- 80 years!) went to Tony's Grove for a small hike and lunch. It was great to reconnect with family and we can't wait to do it again next year! In the pic (l-r) Mary (my mom's cousin Barry's wife), Aunt Donna, Debbie and Lana Ray (Donna's daughters)

16 year anniversary

This year was our 16th anniversary and we got to go away for three days! It was THE BEST!!!!! Mike had training, so work paid for the hotel. I had the days to laze around by myself (going to the family history library, taking naps, watching True Hollywood Stories of Hip Hop wives, you know, important stuff!) And Mike and I got to spend the nights together shopping, going to the temple, playing in the pool/hot tub and watching movies. If we look a little bleary eyed it is because we got the most out of out anniversary! ;)It was so much fun, I am already planning to go again ASAP. A big thanks to Sassy, who wrangled all the kids while we were gone. Couldn't have done it without her :)

The County Fair!

So this summer one of the funnest things we did with Jo was 4H. She did it with a bunch of girls from church and school, and they made the neatest projects! When it was our turn to teach we made these cute padded hangers. Then the girls submitted all their projects to the county fair, and Jo got 9 blue ribbons and 1 red ribbon and made $25!

Bear Lake

Some of our best days this summer have been at Bear Lake! We've only made it up there twice, but both times we just have a blast. The water is so clear, it is soft sand, blue skies and just like the ocean except surrounded by mountains. We always finish it up with a fresh raspberry shake from La Beau's! I had to include the pic of Mike in a mullet, he loves to wear it for some reason! It isn't real for those of you who just fainted ;)

Apple imitating Mom

One morning when I got on the computer to check email and facebook, Apple sat down on her little rocking chair and got out her laptop to be just like mommy! So cute :)

My hot surfer babe!

I know it has been a while but we have been crazy busy here! I will try and update July through September in the coming weeks :) But for now here is a pic of Mike in Hawaii surfing with Shayne his brother this last weekend!
