A few years ago we started the tradition of having friend birthday parties on the kids 5th, 8th, 12th, and 16th birthdays only to cut down on all the party stress and expense. The only thing I didn't realize was that my kids turn 5, 8, 12, and 16 all in the same year! Oh well, at least it is all done in one year :) So this year was Sunshine's first friend party, and she choose a Pink Pony Party. The guests colored My Little Pony pages when they first arrived, then we got everyone dressed up with the pony ears and tails that Sunshine and I made and had a prancing pony line all over the house. They played Pin the Tail on the Pony(Jo drew the pony, isn't it awesome?), Pony, Pony, Horse, and went on a treasure hunt for matching baby and momma horses to take home. Then they had pink pony cake and opened presents, all of which Sunshine loved. Her first birthday party was a huge success, and the kids were all so cute!
